Dr Suretha Kannenberg is a respected dermatologist based in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, where she offers compassionate and expert care to patients of all ages. She obtained both her MBChB and her Master’s degree in Dermatology (MMed Dermatology)(cum laude) from Stellenbosch University. Dr Kannenberg is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and actively contributes to the dermatology community through leadership roles on the executive committees of the Dermatology Society of South Africa, the Vitiligo Society of South Africa, and the African Women’s Dermatologic Society.

Her professional affiliations extend internationally, as she is also a member of the South African Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She has authored numerous publications, and book chapters and frequently appears in the media to raise public awareness of dermatological conditions.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Kannenberg lectures both locally and abroad on dermatological topics she is passionate about. She leads community initiatives and support groups for patients with eczema and vitiligo, fostering education and empowerment.

Her practice focuses on general dermatology with a special interest in atopic eczema, as well as aesthetic dermatology with an emphasis on subtle, natural-looking results.
